For this part of our project, we’ve assembled two resources to help students who are exploring the Taiping conflict.

The first is an interview with Dr. Tobie Meyer-Fong, author of the Taiping Civil War study, What Remains: Coming to Terms with Civil War in 19th Century China (Stanford UP, 2013).

The second is an annotated bibliography of works on the Taiping Civil War. We compiled this bibliography using the free Zotero bibliographic tool. Anyone may browse the library and read these annotations via this link: https://www.zotero.org/groups/taiping_civil_war/items. Using Zotero to do so is particularly handy, but not necessary.
